Recitals

The recital is the completion of the lesson for a period of time and an opportunity for each student to share his/her accomplishments with the other studio members. There will be a Fall, Winter, and Spring Recital between September and May of the academic year. The fee is for rental and other expenses related to the recital. Recitals are an important activity for each student’s long term goals and musical development.   

Sunday, January 31, 2010, at 2:00pm is the Annual Winter Recital held at The Music Gallery, Clearwater, Florida. This recital is a goal in student preparation for the Florida Federation of Music Clubs annual evaluation. It is an opportunity for students to share their memorized pieces with each other as well as family members. But more importantly it is a safe place for students to evaluate themselves before the formal evaluation. Playing pieces from memory under pressure is the best test a student has to truly find out how well they have prepared a piece.
